I grew up 25 miles southeast of Detroit, MI with an incredible family. In November of 2003 I was married to the love of my life, Jessica. We have two amazing boys: Bennett Landon (3) and Chandler Beau (10mos). We make our home in Yorba Linda, CA, “The land of gracious living” (Their slogan, not mine!).
For years, my wife and I toured as vocalists with the Christian music group Hope’s Call. We made a move soon after we were married to Murfreesboro, TN (Nashville area) to follow our musical dreams. We did thousands of concerts all over the U.S and Canada in venues such as arenas, churches, conferences, campgrounds, nursing homes, East Tennessee’s Apple Butter Festival….you get the idea. I am so incredibly thankful for that time of my life and wouldn’t trade it for anything.
After five years of marriage, Jessica and I wanted to start a family and we knew that raising our kids on a tour bus was not something we wanted to do. At the same time, my passion for the local church was growing. So, in January of 2008, I accepted an associate position on staff at our home church, New Vision, in Murfreesboro, TN. After a few years of learning ministry from some fantastic people and growing spiritually, God gave me the opportunity in 2011 to move to sunny California and become the Worship Pastor and Creative Director at Crosspointe Church in Orange County, CA. This is honestly the most refreshing and challenging (in a good way) time of my life. I love the team that I get to work with and the people that I get to lead each and every week.
Music. Leading Worship. Leadership. Music. Video Production. Graphic Design. Guitar. Drums. Keys. Music…did I say Music?
About this Blog
This is my personal blog. My goal is to provide intentional inspiration, resources and light-hearted fun to those who may be looking for it. In no way do the posts, comments, pictures or other content on this blog reflect the views of my employer (Crosspointe Church). This is simply a place for me to be creative and hopefully along the way, inspire you to do the same.
If you’d like to listen to some of the recordings that I was a part of and see much younger pictures of me, you can check out Hope’s Call’s music by clicking on one of the titles here: “Live to Love”, “Beyond the Music: An Acappella Collection”, This Night (Christmas), Bright New Day (Disclaimer: The musical style and genre reflected here is VERY different from what I lead and am involved in today. However, people occasionally ask about it so I figured I would give the links.)
Each year I have a limited number of opportunities to lead worship at churches or events or speak to creative/ music teams. If you would be interested in having me come to your church/event, fill out the contact form below and I’ll be in touch with you soon to talk about your event. You can also follow me on twitter or facebook.
